چکیده

Sompolinski and Zippelius (1981) propose the study of dynamical systems whose invariant measures are the Gibbs measures for (hard to analyze) statistical physics models of interest. In the course of doing so, physicists often report of an \aging" phenomenon. For example, aging is expected to happen for the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model, a disordered mean-eld model with a very complex phase transition in equilibrium at low temperature. We shall study the Langevin dynamics for a simpliied spherical version of this model. The induced rotational symmetry of the spherical model reduces the dynamics in question to an N-dimensional coupled system of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck processes whose random drift parameters are the eigenvalues of certain random matrices. We obtain the limiting dynamics for N approaching innnity and by analyzing its long time behavior, explain what is aging (mathematically speaking), what causes this phenomenon, and what is its relationship with the phase transition of the corresponding equilibrium invariant measures.

Aging effects and dynamic scaling in the 3D Edwards-Anderson spin glasses: a comparison with experiments

We present a detailed study of the scaling behavior of correlations functions and AC susceptibility relaxations in the aging regime in three-dimensional spin glasses. The agreement between simulations and experiments is excellent confirming the validity of the full aging scenario with weak sub-aging effects. Aging , rejuvenation and memory phenomena in spin glasses

In this paper, we review several important features of the out-of-equilibrium dynamics of spin glasses. Starting with the simplest experiments, we discuss the scaling laws used to describe the isothermal aging observed in spin glasses after a quench down to the low temperature phase. We report in particular new results on the sub-aging behaviour of spin glasses. We then discuss the rejuvenation...

On the nature of the low-temperature phase in discontinuous mean-field spin glasses

The low-temperature phase of discontinuous mean-field spin glasses is generally described by a one-step replica symmetry breaking (1RSB) Ansatz. The Gardner transition, i.e. a verylow-temperature phase transition to a full replica symmetry breaking (FRSB) phase, is often regarded as an inessential, and somehow exotic phenomenon. In this paper we show that the metastable states which are relevan...

Aging phenomena in spin glass and ferromagnetic phases : domain growth and wall dynamics

PACS. 02.75.50.Lk – Spin glasses and other random magnets. PACS. 03.75.10.Nr – Spin-glass and other random models. Abstract. – We compare aging in a disordered ferromagnet and in a spin glass, by studying the different phases of a reentrant system. We have measured the relaxation of the low-frequency ac susceptibility χ, in both the ferromagnetic and spin-glass phases of a CdCr1.9In0.1S4 sample...

1 Aging , rejuvenation and memory effects in Ising and Heisenberg spin glasses

We have compared aging phenomena in the Fe0.5Mn0.5T iO3 Ising spin glass and in the CdCr1.7In0.3S4 Heisenberg-like spin glass by means of lowfrequency ac susceptibility measurements. At constant temperature, aging obeys the same ‘ωt scaling’ in both samples as in other systems. Investigating the effect of temperature variations, we find that the Ising sample exhibits rejuvenation and memory eff...
